Merry Christmas eve, friends! I hope this is a time of celebration and hope for you and your family.
In my perspective, mangers are not intended for beauty and honor, but they are a reminder of how anything can be redeemed and made valuable.
I am thankful for:
Gift wrapping that takes simple scraps and turns them into a work of art (if I do say so, myself!). Any small thing can be made beautiful, even a newspaper clipping or crinkled piece of brown paper.
Our bodies, which are hurt and broken and failing us all the time. Sure, they can be beautiful, but they can also be cancerous and sick. But the small gift of having hands that can type or arms that can hug means that something imperfect can be used for good and for love.
Stories of redemption occurring in places where people are hurting. So thankful for the hope of having full life that exceeds the sad world that we live in.
