Thankful for wrinkled shirts worn two days in a row, because that clearly translates to less washing, less folding, less quarters spent.
Thankful for the way soup soothes and smoothes over any sickness or sadness, especially when it is mama-made chicken vegetable soup with rice. Thank you Abby for feeding my body and my soul the other night!
Thankful for the part of the day when I can fold down my sheets and crawl into bed, sloughing off all of the papers and to-do lists and obligations. Sleep is a blissful luxury, not a guilty pleasure. It is a necessary component of health and wholeness. Sleep is a gift that we can joyfully receive each and every night.
