Thankful for a grace-filled Savior, and for the moments where I humbly receive his grace through the flesh-and-blood, dear people in my life who are treasures to me.
Thankful for the words of Ann Voskamp during a gray season: You will be experienced as a blessing — to the extent you have first experienced yourself as blessed. These words are slowly coming to my mind time and time again, when I am unsure of myself or feel weak or incapable. God has poured out love and blessing, and I want to soak it all up like a sponge.
Thankful for a Thanksgiving Psalm:
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Thankful that we are his sheep, first and foremost. Fun facts about sheep: there are over 1 billion sheep in the world, sheep and shepherds are mentioned 247 times in the Bible, and sheep have best friends. One very special animal, if you ask me.
